Our Mission & Vision

Bethel Nazarene Church is a family-focused church that seeks to “Love God, Love People, and Serve in Love.”

Welcome from The Pastor

Welcome to Bethel Nazarene Church! Take a few moments to get acquainted with us. Our hope is that through the ministry of our church you will find a place to belong, an opportunity to serve and a growing connection with God.

An important part of your church experience is a personal and shared encounter with the presence of God. We have two services offered simultaneously on Sundays, one at 11 AM in person, and the second online at our Facebook page or on our Youtube page at 11:00 AM.

Something we value at Bethel Nazarene Church is gathering together for discipleship, study, and fellowship. Various adult groups are offered all throughout the week.

We have a robust Kids Ministry offered during Sunday mornings for infants through 4th grades. 5th and 6th grades meet the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at 6 PM. Youth Group, known as Amp’d Youth Ministries, for 7th-12th grades meets on Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM.

At Bethel Church of the Nazarene there is a place for you. People are unique, so we have a church that meets the needs of a diverse group of people in a variety of ways. We want you to know that there is a place for you to make Bethel Naz your church.

Please let us know if you would like to know more at bethelnazchurch@gmail.com, or introduce yourself to us when you drop by.

What We Believe

About God

God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14

About Jesus

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He lived a sinless, human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to earth to reign forever.

Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5 & 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13

About The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit lives within every Christian from the moment of salvation giving them power for understanding spiritual truth and living in the ways of God providing the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily and matures to a place of total Christ-likeness. Christ-likeness means to be set apart, made holy, to be totally surrendered.

II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13 & 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12 & 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18

About the Bible

The Bible is the revelation of God’s word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit and is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.

II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; II Timothy 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160 & 12:6; Proverbs 30:5

About Humanity

People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like God in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Every person has tremendous potential for good, yet sin has disconnected our relationship with God. Sin separates people from God and causes many problems in life.

Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

About Salvation

Salvation is God’s free gift to all people and connects our relationship with God, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from the penalty of sin. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment a person receives Jesus and believes in Him.

Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6 & 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1

About Sanctification

Sanctification is the setting apart or the new identity we have through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit can spiritually transform people from being spiritually dead to becoming spiritually alive. Through the Holy Spirit a persons heart can be cleansed from sin and brought to a state of complete and on-purpose devotion to God.

Romans 6:6; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Romans 8:6-8; Romans 8:5, 9-11; 1 Peter 1:15-16

About Eternity

God created people to exist forever. We will either exit eternally disconnected from God by sin, or eternally connected with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally disconnected from God is eternal death. To be eternally connected with God is eternal life. We believe each person will one day appear before God to give an account.

John 3:16; I John 2:25 & 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15
